Make sure to keep a stack of trash playing cards around so you can create other gimmicks when needed.

     not just gimmicks making. I keep spare cards sorted by back colour and index and suit so I can quickly refile a working deck after a few too many “Ambitious Card” routines.  (another hint, do a singed card trick before using a Koran deck, that way if the cycle repeates and somone notices just shrug and say the deck  is a bit of a mish mash made from putting together a few decks that were trashed from signed card effecks
